I scar easily, which is not good because I'm extremely clumsy. And, it's one of the reasons I don't like summer - you know, because of the short sleeves many of my scars are exposed. I kinda look like a cutter ... although I'm not.
My left arm seems to have more scars for some reason, not sure why that is since I'm right handed. But my right side is catching up ... last Wednesday I burned it on the iron. I'd forgotten about it until yesterday when I was fixing my hair ... this red "swoosh-like" thing on my right arm caught my eye. Upon closer inspection I realized the scar actually looks like the Nike swoosh.
Nice.
Now I'm wondering if I can make some money from sporting their logo around. I mean, it will never disappear, that's the thing with me and scars ... they never go away. They may fade a bit (not much) but they don't disappear. I'm sure the redness will last until Christmas ... so I'd be useful for the holiday sales, you'd think.

24 Astute Observations:
Hey I think I have a scar that looks like swiss cheese - do you think the Dairy Farmers of Canada would pay me to advertise for them ?
It's got to be worth something! I have plenty of scars too....was very clumsy and don't even remember where most of them come from now, but plenty of iron burns! Now I've given up ironing, not so much a problem.
My scars fade away fast but my sister puts them on faster than they can vanish...on that note, for some reason I have stretch marks / stripes all over me :S
I like how you're thinking, make the most of it.
What's a 'cutter'? Someone who cuts themselves? Eek.
I have a birthmark that looks like an almond. But it doesn't see the light of day where it's located.
Won't work.
I tried the same thing with my "Depends Undergarments" birthmark and they didn't bite.
OMG. I'm cracking up. Back when I was dating the Mrs., not once, but twice, she "branded" me with an iron. She claims it was an accident.
More likely they'll charge you with infringement of copyright.
you should call nike and strike up a deal with them!
as i get older i find i'm getting clumsier. i'm averaging a new bruise at least once every two weeks.

You're one step away from acquiring a scar that looks like the Virgin Mary, it sounds like! Then you'll be famous. ;-)
I burned the CRAP out of my hand yesterday, straining Ramen noodles with a fork while pouring out the saucepan of boiling water. Dumb.
Take a photo of the scar I want to see!
catz - lol ... maybe! How'd you get that one?
joh - I haven't ironed in a long time, mostly because of the danger, but the dryer messed up all my stuff & I was forced to ... sheesh
rg - I wish mine would fade ... or I could go back & start over ... I'd bubble wrap me or something
ruth - yes, a cutter is someone who cuts themselves. I know, the thought of it makes me queasy
moog - lol, I now know too much about you
old man - hmmm ... does sound a bit suspicious! ;)
val - ahahaha...omg, that's probably true!
maria - god ... I hope I don't get clumsier! lol That would be scary
marvin - lol ... oh, I never thought about the religious aspect ... now you made me think of 'cheesus' again ... LOL
leez - it pretty much looks just like the logo! freaky, really.
You could be on to a good thing here. Scars that look like something!
Sell it on Ebay - Oh, maybe there is something wrong here, You are attached ha ha!
Now there's some entreprenurial spirit...but "ouch!" ;)
babs - yeah, I'm attached to the scar...so selling it on ebay may be kinda hard! lol
dave - ouch is right ... it's still sore :(
Oooo, sorry about your burn. But it's great you can see the value in it. I have one that looks like Saturn. Not the car, the planet.
lol .. glad it doesn't look like a car. Most of my scars just look like lines, so this one is unique.
LINOLIN OIL!!!!! find a good acupuncturist who makes his own. I kid you not this stuff will take that darn scar away or at the least make it almost non-existant...considering its already a few days since you did the deed. I burned my hand with hot starbucks coffee, while those morons just watched and didn't help me. The lid was too tight and I had trouble removing it to get sugar in and well...I ran to my practitioner and he put it on and wrapped me up. The red that seemed that would be there forever is not there. It's amazing!
There are some lotions that can relieve the scars, right?
If that doesn't work, you can always get a tattoo!
Love the blog! and the penguin widget is... it's... I'm addicted to it! >:O
lauren - I think i've tried that before ... i may even have some around the house somewhere. There's a name for the type of skin I have...can't remember what it is now, I just call it yucky! lol
thaiger - I have lots of them, but it's just my old crappy scottish skin, lol... Glad you like the penguins!
I scar pretty easily, too, so I understand! It is not uncommon for me to look down and see a bruise somewhere and wonder, "I wonder where that came from?" Oh well, such is life....
Sorry I haven't been very communicative lately....I just haven't been in a blogging mood for awhile....
But I wanted you to know that I was thinking about you!
Julie
Yeah, lol, maybe you should go to Nike and try to make a commercial with them. You see these athletes sweating Gatorade on tv these days. Why not.
Not to rooty toot toot my own horn, but being diabetic, I'll see a cut that was made on my bod a couple months ago and it still looks fresh today. Diabetic folks don't heal well from what the doc says.
Well, take care of that cut. Who knows? Maybe you'll make some moola off of it. :)
julie - yes, I have 2 bruises by my knee at the moment ... have no idea where they came from, lol. Glad you're still around!
kelly - yeah, I should do a youtube video or something & send it to them, lol
Ouch! Hey why don't you take a pic and sell it on Ebay? :)
rose - I should ... it's getting itchy now, lol
